Nash app screens showing balances, prices and trading

In 2018, crypto meant choosing between holding your own keys and using complex platforms, or trusting a centralised exchange at a time when hacks were common.

Nash set out to be both: a regulated platform with self-custody and UX simple enough for anyone, offering banking, wallets, fiat ramps, swaps and earning products.

The branding had to stand out if it was going to be noticed.

No polygons, no neon cyberpunk, no floating crypto coins amongst other offenders. A simple dark theme with strong colours for the product gave the brand a more distinctive presence, with lighter colours on the marketing material to spark interest and contrast.

The app had to work for millions, not thousands

Crypto was still complex and intimidating. The app needed to feel familiar while making self-custody clear and safe. It also had to bring banking, earning, buying and selling, swapping and payments into one connected experience.

A regulated and decentralised L2 crypto exchange

For experienced traders, Nash needed a more powerful trading environment without compromising its decentralised model. This exchange offered advanced order types, deeper markets integrated with liquidity providers and detailed real-time and historical trading data for users who needed more control.
